The Serpent's Coil

Serpents eternal
Intertwined
To break the spine of dawn
The truth he sought to find
The essence
In the rivers and oceans
Across desolate wastelands
Dreams and aspirations
Became a rancid nest
For maggots to swim in
In summer's duress
The heart of the world
Can only be found
In harsher regions
In nature's abode
Learn the language of silence
Behind these walls
Only the mouths
Of wealth and greed are heard
No one ever truly listens
Humanity was deafened forever
He walked away
Off the beaten path
To seek wisdom
That drips off the dews of mountains
He, the dream strider
Spoke nothing of his time
Dusk
That night he ascended
Beyond the veil
Merging with shadows
To reach the dale
He sought the serpents
To restore the world
In our deepest slumber
Can we find him

Antiquity
06:42
|
|||
All alone
In a whirlwind of confusion
Such is life
In chaotic motion
I climbed the mountains,
To seek the answers,
From the stars,
Under cerulean skies.
Solitude,
Has many friends.
If you wither,
You will blossom again.
The answers he sought
Came in a path of light
From deep within him
To calm the plight
We shall meet after sun's descent
At the first signs of snow
A letter that was written
A long time ago
The scent of magnolia,
Paints a pastel air,
Foreboding your presence,
In winter's snare.
But you were gone,
Like the echoes in the distance,
A memory's burst of warmth,
In waters, omnipresent.

The past often crystalizes,
Sweeter than most horizons,
Even bitter ones,
If only we’d known.
Never fully realized,
Never truly known.
